EA FC 26 Title Update 1.6.0 (The World’s Game Update) is now available on all platforms, and there’s also a back‑to‑back squad update (May 28, 2026) that unlocks all the new content.
We’re talking about a 48‑team World Cup tournament mode (playable from June 4, but already in Career Mode), 60 national teams (51 fully licensed).
And 7 new boots, 3 new stadiums, authentic rosters for 55 nations, dozens of new and updated real faces, and two brand new ICONs plus four new Player Career ICONs.

EA FC 26 Update
The World’s Game Mode

EA FC 26 now has a hidden home tab for The World’s Game – the generic but incredibly deep World Cup 2026 tournament mode.
It will officially unlock on June 4, but you can already experience the new 48‑team structure right now in Career Mode.
Start a new Career, and you’ll be able to play through the World Cup with the full group stage (top two plus eight best third‑placed teams) and knockout rounds from the Round of 32 to the final.
The update adds 60 national teams to Kick‑Off and Career Mode. Here’s the complete list:

Licensed (51 nations):
Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Canada, Colombia, Croatia, Czechia, Côte d’Ivoire, Denmark, Ecuador, England, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Haiti, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Korea Republic, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Senegal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Türkiye, Ukraine, United States, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Wales.
Generic (9 nations – real players but generic kits):
Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina (becomes licensed on June 4), Congo DR (becomes licensed on June 4), Curaçao, Egypt, IR Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan.
New Authentic Players

EA has updated the rosters for 55 nations with real players, including new teams like Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, Japan, Korea Republic, New Zealand, Panama, Senegal, and Türkiye. These authentic rosters brought back legacy real faces for many players:

- Alex Sandro (Brazil)
- Danilo (Brazil)
- Lucas Paquetá (Brazil)
- Luiz Henrique (Brazil)
- Jhon Córdoba (Colombia)
- Gaël Kakuta (Congo DR)

- Trézéguet (Egypt)
- Jordi Amat (Indonesia)
- Yuto Nagatomo (Japan)
- Seung Gyu Kim (Korea Republic)

Also, Fabio Cannavaro is the only new manager with a real face added in this update.
Five national teams (Algeria, Curaçao, IR Iran, Iraq, Jordan) have generic rosters – but you can edit them manually and add real players via the in‑game editing section.
New Real Faces
The update includes 34 new real faces (Morgan Rogers, Patrick Dorgu, Senne Lammens, Wesley, Petar Sučić, Mario Pašalić, Rasmus Kristensen, and many more).
And 8 updated real faces (Raúl Jiménez, Brahim Díaz, Álex Grimaldo, Endrick, Daizen Maeda, Miles Robinson, Neil Etheridge, Giulia Gwinn). All are now available for clubs and national teams.
New ICONs
Mario Kempes and Rivellino are the two new ICONs added to the game (will be available in a future server update).
Player Career now lets you select Ronaldo (R9), Xavi, Franck Ribéry, and Camille Abily as playable ICONs.

All are now available in Kick‑Off and Career Mode, assigned to their respective clubs.
