The waiting is over. PlayStation has officially announced the release date for the long‑rumoured World Cup 2026 content in EA FC 26. As part of the Days of Play 2026 celebration, “The World’s Game” update will go live on June 4 across all platforms.
The update adds a brand‑new international tournament mode featuring 48 national teams, new authentic stadiums, international‑themed Manager Live Challenges, and fresh ICONs and Heroes for Player Career.

FC 26 World Cup 2026 Update
PlayStation’s Days of Play event runs from May 27 and includes major offers on games, accessories, tournaments, and more.
Buried in the announcement is the confirmation that EA FC 26 – which was part of the May Monthly Games lineup – will stay available for PlayStation Plus members through June 16. And from June 4, The World’s Game update arrives in‑game.

48 National Teams – A full World Cup 2026 experience (generic but highly authentic) with all qualified nations.

- Group B: Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Qatar & Switzerland
- Group C: Brazil, Morocco, Haiti & Scotland
- Group D: United States, Paraguay, Australia & Türkiye
- Group E: Germany, Curaçao, Côte d’Ivoire & Ecuador
- Group F: Netherlands, Japan, Sweden & Tunisia
- Group G: Belgium, Egypt, IR Iran & New Zealand
- Group H: Spain, Cabo Verde, Saudi Arabia & Uruguay
- Group I: France, Senegal, Iraq & Norway

New Authentic Stadiums – Expect some of the North American host venues (already three are in game: BC Place, Lumen Field, Mercedes‑Benz Stadium; more to be added).
