Hey ReFIFA fans! As usual, after every major update there may be minor updates, and here is EA FC 26 waiting for a new update.
Title Update v1.6.1 is scheduled for June 4 on all platforms – PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
While Title Update v1.6.0 brought the core World Cup content, this follow‑up patch is the key that unlocks the door.
On June 4, The World’s Game Mode (the generic but feature‑rich 48‑team World Cup tournament) will become fully playable.
Additionally, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Congo DR will finally receive their authentic kits, upgrading them from generic to fully licensed.
And based on data from FC Mobile, we may also see a fresh batch of real faces and the remaining adidas World Cup 2026 boots in the coming days. Here’s everything you need to know about Title Update v1.6.1.
EA FC 26 Title Update v1.6.1
The World’s Game Mode

Title Update v1.6.0 added the hidden infrastructure for the World Cup mode, but the tournament was not yet selectable. Title Update v1.6.1 activates The World’s Game Mode on June 4, letting you finally experience:
- A 48‑team international tournament with the full group stage (top two plus eight best third‑placed teams advance).
- Knockout rounds from the Round of 32 to the final.
- 53 fully licensed national teams (plus generic teams with real players).
- Playable in standalone mode, Kick‑Off, and Career Mode.
Two nations that launched with generic kits are finally getting their official looks:
- Bosnia and Herzegovina – now fully licensed with authentic home, away, and goalkeeper kits.
- Congo DR – also upgraded to full licensing with official branding.
These updates will apply to Kick‑Off, Career Mode, and The World’s Game Mode.
New Real Faces

EA FC Mobile recently received a batch of new real faces, and there’s a strong chance some (or all) will make their way to EA FC 26 via Title Update v1.6.1. The list includes:
- In Beom Hwang – Feyenoord
- Mees Hilgers – FC Twente
- Calvin Verdonk – LOSC Lille
- Paik Seung Ho – Birmingham City
- Eom Ji Sung – Swansea City
- Hwang Ui Jo – Alanyaspor
- Paul Onuachu – Trabzonspor
- Edgar – Daegu FC
- Oberdan – Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors
- Wang Dalei – Shandong Taishan
- Jo Hyeon Woo – Korea Republic
- Seol Young Woo – Korea Republic
Additionally, Sebastian Nanasi (RC Strasbourg) received a placeholder in FC Mobile – a possible sign that a real face is coming soon to console/PC as well.
New Boots
Title Update v1.6.0 brought the Nike World Cup boots, but the adidas collection has not yet arrived. We may still get them in Title Update v1.6.1 – a final chance to add these stunning designs:
- Adidas Copa Pure 4 ‘2026 World Cup’ – Solar Turbo / Ivory / Core Black
- Adidas F50 Hyperfast – 2026 World Cup Pack – Solar Turbo / Black / Gold Metallic
- Adidas Predator 2026 World Cup Boots – Solar Turbo / Thermal Chrome / Core Black
- adidas F50 Tunit 2026 World Cup – Canada edition
- adidas F50 Tunit 2026 World Cup – Mexico edition
Final Whistle
Title Update v1.6.1 is the final key to unlock the full World’s Game experience. On June 4, you can finally lead your nation through the 48‑team tournament, enjoy authentic kits for Bosnia and Congo DR, and potentially welcome new real faces and adidas World Cup boots.
This is the last major patch before EA FC 26 winds down – so make the most of it. Update your game on June 4, jump into The World’s Game Mode, and chase international glory.
