EA FC 26 Title Update v1.5.0
Gameplay
Over the past few weeks, EA SPORTS has been closely monitoring conversations across Discord polls, feedback posts, and social channels.
The message was clear: attributes should feel more powerful and impactful, with PlayStyles enhancing—not defining—player effectiveness. Update v1.5.0 delivers on that philosophy.
Passing Improvements
The Attribute Boost: Ground passing is now more accurate and faster — especially for players with strong passing attributes. This makes classic high-attribute midfielders more reliable.
Contextual Curve: Players without the Incisive Pass PlayStyle but with high Short Pass, Long Pass or Curve can now contextually bend through-balls — so great passers aren’t artificially gated by PlayStyle.
Lofted Pass Nerf: Lofted pass accuracy (the kind you make by double-tapping ground/through pass) has been reduced overall — a deliberate nerf to high-risk, high-reward lofting.
Power Shot Adjustments
- Trajectory improvements make Power Shots more threatening from distance.
- Power Shot accuracy has been increased when the shooter has the Power Shot PlayStyle (and even more so with PlayStyle+).
Chip Shot
- Chip Shots are now less likely to go wide, with overall accuracy increased.
- The Chip Shot PlayStyle provides additional accuracy, rewarding players who master this delicate technique.
Tiki Taka PlayStyle
Ground and first-time pass accuracy from Tiki Taka has been reduced to close the gap versus normal passing, but those passes still benefit from the broader ground-pass accuracy/speed improvements.
Inventive PlayStyle
Lofted ground/through passes with Inventive (and Inventive+) have been slightly buffed to offset the general lofted-pass nerf. Inventive+ lofts remain a touch less accurate than pre-patch, but overall feel improved.
Additional Gameplay Tweaks
Skill Moves: Increased the speed of Fake Shot, Heel Chop, and Feint and Exit by 5%, making dribbling more responsive.
Positioning: Addressed an issue where attacking players could remain stationary after repositioning, improving attacking flow.
Career Mode
Career Mode is getting a “Quality of Life” boost that removes some of the tedious menu-grinding. New Career content will be released over the next few weeks, including new Live Starting Points and ICONs in Player Career.
Dynamic Development Plans: Training is now automated based on Player Roles. If your striker is a “Target Forward,” they will automatically be put on that specific development plan. If you change your tactics, the plans adapt instantly.

Contract Logic: No more waiting until the last minute. Players with less than a year left are now more open to negotiations, especially when starting a “Live Start Point” or joining a club mid-season.
New ICONs: Season 6 arrives with a legendary rotation. You can now start a Player Career as:
- Ronaldinho: The Brazilian magician, pure joy on the ball.
- Gareth Bale: Welsh speedster, left-footed thunder, and big-game legend.
- Fernando Torres: El Niño, the striker who tormented defenses.
- Aya Miyama: Japanese midfield icon and set-piece specialist.
And this is just the beginning—more ICONs will arrive in future weeks.
Visuals: A new “Pitch Wear” setting has been added to reflect seasonal weather, though it stays ‘OFF’ by default for those who prefer a pristine pitch.

Addressed the following issues: After completing the International Men’s Cup, objective progress was not updating as intended.
Ultimate Team
Added functionality to ensure Special Rarity Player Items appear during pack opening ahead of Gold Rarity Player Items.
Addressed an issue where searching by ++ role proficiency in SBC storage would not return any results.
The problem that in some cases, EA Music would open when restarting a Moments Challenge. This has been resolved.
(PC) In some instances, EA Music could’ve opened while searching on the Transfer Market, and that has been resolved.
In some instances, invites sent through EA Connect to Play with a Friend on Ultimate Team would not function, and that has also been resolved.
Clubs Mode
Clubs players, listen up. The Archetype system is getting a major boost in a server-side update after Title Update v1.5.0:
- Archetype Level Cap: Increased from 80 to 90—more room to grow your virtual pro.
- Archetype Max Attributes: The maximum range of Archetype-specific attributes has been increased.
- Customizable PlayStyle Slots: Increased from 7 to 8, unlocked at the new level 90 cap.
This means more customization, more specialization, and more ways to make your Clubs player truly unique.
New Additions
Updated some text, star heads, hair, 2D Portraits, crests, kits, boots, balls, badges, banners, flags, scarves, sleeves, ad boards, mascots, TIFOs, face accessories, trophies, text, anthems, lighting, overlays, crowds, camera angles and cinematics.
We will talk about all these details on our YouTube channel and in future articles as well, but our role now is to examine the game completely to extract everything new for you.
Final Whistle
Title Update v1.5.0 is exactly what the community asked for. By rebalancing PlayStyles like Tiki Taka and Incisive Pass while buffing core attributes, EA SPORTS is restoring the importance of player stats.
The addition of Ronaldinho, Gareth Bale, Fernando Torres, and Aya Miyama to Player Career injects fresh legendary talent into the mode. And the Clubs Archetype upgrades give virtual pros a new ceiling to chase.
This update proves that community feedback truly shapes the evolution of EA FC 26. As soon as Title Update v1.5.0 goes live, ReFIFA will be here with gameplay analysis, new ICON reviews, and everything else you need to master the new meta.
