EA FC 26 Title Update v1.5.1 is coming (edit: now available) to all platforms — PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch — and it looks like a focused quality-of-life update rather than a content-heavy one.
The official EA Forums patch note snippet shows fixes for Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Clubs, and general stability, including a fix for the default position filter issue in Squad and SBC menus.
EA FC 26 Title Update v1.5.1
Ultimate Team
The Ultimate Team community gets a small but welcome fix:
- SBC & Squad Filter Fix: When adding or swapping Player Items to a Squad or Squad Building Challenge (SBC) , the filter was defaulting to “Any” instead of the highlighted position. This has been corrected, making squad-building smoother and less frustrating.
Career Mode
Career Mode receives the bulk of attention in this update, with several changes and bug fixes designed to enhance the experience.
Made the Following Changes:
- Social Media Updates: The social media feed has been refreshed with new post content, keeping the immersive news flow feeling current.
- Injury Duration Selection: The injury duration menu in the Injuries and Suspensions screen has been updated for clearer navigation.
- Qualification Zones Visibility: Improved visibility of qualification zones (Champions League spots, relegation places, etc.) in competition standings within Deeper Sim mode. No more squinting to see if you’re safe!
Addressed the Following Issues:
- Development Plans Bug: Swapping to the Position tab while in Development Plans would cause Role Growth information to disappear. This has been fixed.
- Overlapping Text: Various instances of overlapping text across menus have been addressed.
- The “Same Boots” Bug: In Manager Live matches, all players on the field were using identical boots. This immersion-breaking visual glitch is now resolved.
- League Availability in Challenges: In certain Manager Live challenges, some leagues were incorrectly shown as unavailable when attempting to replace teams.
- Out-of-Position Display: Some players were incorrectly displayed as out of position in the match preview screen.
- Scout Report Accuracy: Scout reports could sometimes provide incorrect attribute values. This has been corrected, so your scouting intel should now be reliable.

Clubs
Clubs players will appreciate this tuning:
- CAM Match Rating Calculation: The logic for calculating match ratings for Center Attacking Midfielders (CAMs) has been further adjusted to avoid unintentionally high calculations. This should result in more balanced ratings for the playmaker role.
General Polish & Stability
The update also brings a wave of visual and stability enhancements:
Made the Following Changes:
- Updated numerous visual elements, including crests, banners, scarves, flags, scenes, camera angles, overlays, celebrations, text, hair, ad boards, and cinematics. Expect a fresher look across various parts of the game.

Addressed the Following Issues:
- Stability Fixes: Various stability issues that could have caused crashes or performance hiccups have been addressed, contributing to a smoother overall experience.
Final Whistle
Title Update 1.5.1 is exactly what a good mid-cycle patch should be: focused, responsive, and packed with fixes that address community pain points.
The Career Mode fixes—especially the “same boots” visual glitch and the improved qualification zone visibility—are welcome refinements.
The CAM rating adjustment in Clubs ensures more balanced progression, and the Ultimate Team filter fix makes squad-building a touch less annoying.
It’s not a headline-grabbing update, but it’s the kind of polish that keeps EA FC 26 feeling fresh and responsive as we head deeper into the spring.
