EA FC 26 Title Update v1.5.4 has now been officially announced, and it is set to arrive soon for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch.
This update focuses on polishing the experience across Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Clubs, and general visuals.
While it’s not a massive content drop, it addresses several community-reported issues – including a frustrating Career Mode bug where CPU Slider settings would reset, and more.
Plus, there are UI improvements in FUT and plenty of visual updates. Let’s break down everything coming in Title Update 1.5.4.
EA FC 26 Title Update v1.5.4
Ultimate Team
Two small but welcome improvements for Football Ultimate Team players:
Updated UI: Improved UI selection when viewing Player Items in the New Releases tab. Navigating through fresh content should now feel smoother.
Actions button fix: The Actions button callout was unavailable in New Releases when using the Compare Price function. This has been resolved, making price comparisons quicker and less frustrating.
Career Mode
Career Mode receives the most significant fixes in this update:
CPU Slider Settings Fix: Addressed an issue where CPU Slider settings would reset to default after relaunching the game and loading a save. No more re-doing your custom sliders every time you boot up.
Icon Player Manager Career Bug: Fixed an issue where an incorrect team would display when starting a new Manager Career with an Icon Player. Now your legendary manager career will start with the right club.
Youth Player Height Generation: This is a big one. Youth player height generation has been adjusted to ensure more realistic and balanced prospects. No more 5’2″ center-backs or 6’7″ wingers – expect academy graduates to have more plausible physical profiles.
Clubs
Two issues addressed in Clubs mode:
Objectives Button: The Objectives button was incorrectly opening the FC HUB instead of the Objectives screen. This has been fixed.
Misaligned Text: Addressed instances of misaligned text across various menus. These mistakes, although simple, are annoying and unprofessional.
General, Audio, and Visual
Made the Following Changes:
Updated trophy images, boots, kits, ad boards, overlays, crests, logos, star heads, hair, backdrop sponsors, anthems, stadiums, banners, flags, and scarves. Expect a fresher look across the game.
[PC Only] Addressed specific cases that caused game performance to drop to low frame rates after the second half. PC players should experience smoother matches, especially in the latter stages of games.
Addressed the Following Issues:
- Various stability issues that could have caused crashes or performance hiccups.
- Instances of text not appearing in certain menus.
Final Whistle
Title Update 1.5.4 is a classic “polish patch” – it doesn’t add flashy new features, but it makes the game more reliable, realistic, and enjoyable.
The Career Mode fixes, especially the CPU Slider persistence and youth player height realism, will be welcomed by long-term save enthusiasts.
The PC performance fix is a godsend for those who experienced second-half frame drops. And the visual updates across kits, boots, crests, and stadiums keep the game looking fresh.
While we wait for the download to go live, rest assured that EA continues to listen to community feedback and refine EA FC 26.
