Competitive Gameplay

If you’re the type who thrives on online battles in Football Ultimate Team or Clubs, Competitive Gameplay is built for you.

It’s locked in for online modes like Ultimate Team, Clubs, Online Seasons, and Online Friendlies, but you can also switch it on in Kick-Off or Career Mode if you want that high-energy feel offline. This preset is all about three things: responsiveness, consistency, and control. Here’s what you’ll notice:

Less Chaos, More Skill: Goalkeeper deflections push the ball away from danger, cutting down on those cheap rebound goals. Tackles and blocks don’t just bounce back to your opponent, and AI defending takes a backseat—meaning looser lines and more room for your skills to shine.

Lightning-Fast Action: Dribbling’s tighter, skill moves zip, and passing’s quick and snappy. Animations flow smoother, so you’re not stuck waiting for your player to catch up. Plus, players get up fast after tackles—no lingering on the grass.

Fatigue Reimagined: You can push your squad harder without them gassing out too soon. It keeps the pace up for those clutch online moments.

New UT Competitive Camera: Exclusive to Ultimate Team stadiums, this camera widens your view of the pitch while keeping the crowd buzzing. It’s on a rail for predictable controls—perfect for staying sharp in the heat of battle.

Authentic Gameplay

Love the offline life of Manager Career or Player Career? Authentic Gameplay is your jam. It’s the default for those modes and optional in Kick-Off, but you won’t find it in Ultimate Team or Clubs.

Plus, there are five new sliders to mess with:

Header Pass Error: Make those headed passes sloppy or spot-on.
Intercept Error: Tweak how well players control intercepted balls.
