EA FC 26 Squad Update (Jan 14): New Face, Transfers & More

EA SPORTS has released a new Squad Update for EA FC 26, rolling out on January 14, 2026, and it is now live across all platforms including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch.

Added Players with Real Faces

The January 14 Squad Update introduces several players who now feature authentic Real Faces, improving visual realism across multiple leagues. These Face Scan additions help bring more immersion to Career Mode and Kick-Off matches.

Joel Ward now appears with a Real Face while representing Swansea City in the EFL Championship, while Javi Sánchez receives the same treatment at FC Arouca in Liga Portugal.

Turkish side Konyaspor sees Berkan Kutlu updated with a Real Face, and Scott Arfield has been refreshed at Livingston FC in the Scottish Premiership.

In Major League Soccer, both Sean Johnson of DC United and Cristian Espinoza of Nashville SC have been upgraded with Real Faces, bringing more authenticity to MLS squads in EA FC 26.

New Manager Added

Chelsea’s new boss, Liam Rosenior, has been added to the game with a generic face. His official, legacy real face is scheduled to be added in a future Title Update.
